Testing for Gonorrhoea
Urgent Sexual Health Advice
Sexually transmitted infections, also known as STIs, are a number of infections that can be transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse, genital contact, and other forms of sexual activity such as oral and anal sex. P&S Chemist provides a rapid testing and treatment service for Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea, which is available to everyone who is sexually active. With your results returned between 5 and 7 days. Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea are two of the most common sexually transmitted infections in the UK. Which affects more 15 to 24-year-olds than any other sexually transmitted infection, irrespective of gender or sexual orientation.
Many STIs, such as Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea can be cured with antibiotics. Some, such as HIV, unfortunately, have no cure, but can be treated to alleviate symptoms. It is worth remembering that you cannot tell if someone has an STI just by looking at them, this includes yourself, so it is important to get a check-up if you have had unprotected sex or think you might be at risk.
If you think you are at risk of having an STI or have any symptoms of Chlamydia or Gonorrhoea, visit us at our pharmacy for our rapid testing and treatment service, or alternatively your doctor, Community Contraceptive Service, such as Bewize,
